I just found out yesterday that the Humboldt Smokehouse (which is fabulous if you haven’t tried it) is now open for dinner Monday thru Saturday. I predict they will put Porter Street out of business within a year. Love those burnt ends! Menu and hours are at the link.

I have no problem with you touting a local business; in fact, that’s what I think you should be doing. But, running down another local business simultaneously, is bad form. People don’t need help failing. They’ll do that all by themselves without cheering from the sidelines.
Thank you for your comment but my interest is not in “touting local businesses” but in providing useful information. Businesses have to succeed on their merits, don’t they?
I agree with Tim. Your personal experiences haven’t jived with mine, I find Porter Street to be a better option, better quality, less fatty meats, but that is my opinion, as is yours about HSH. But both provide jobs and contribute to the tax base here and I hope can succeed, side by side.

You were mistaken if you thought that this was a website that mindlessly supports local businesses whether they perform well or not.
