I like nuclear power. Nuclear power does not produce co2, does not cause oil spills, doesn’t need to be imported from other countries, doesn’t need wars to ensure those continuing imports, doesn’t need pipelines and oil tankers, and isn’t imminently going to run out. Where do you see sanity in scrapping future plants?
So it’s not as bad as coal, but still has incredible risks and costs that renewable energy does not. One day we will think it was really grotesque that nuclear power was even taken seriously. I worked at Pearl Harbor. I know nuclear. We’re better off moving on.
