SHORT RIBS AND RANDOM THOUGHTS, MARCH 25, 2019

Remember Restoration Hardware? Used to be on Second Street? They’ve come a long way. Check out their new place in Yountville right HERE.

I don’r react to things quickly, but the cravenness of the whole Barr episode is stunning and just the kind of con job that would have been worthy of Don the Con were he sophisticated enough to understand his legal situation. If firing Comey was’t obstructionI, I don’t know what is. Barr trashed the Special Prosecutor before he was even named, and should have been recused. This is no vindication but the Screecher in Chief thinks it is. Welcome to the ext two years.

And, remember civility in government? Used to be a thing? A tribute to Jimmy Carter is right HERE.

And remember SANITY in government? Mike Pompeo thinks Trump was sent by God. Read about it HERE.

MENU ENVY: And as to Bob Mueller’s favorite restaurant, you knew we wouldn’t let you down. Didn’t you? The folks on MSNBC wanted to keep this a secret, but we knew better. He celebrated Friday night right HERE.

AND as soon as his small party vacated their seats, Nicole Wallace, former Bush staffer and MSNBC anchor, claimed his booth. Mueller likes the salmon salad, apparently.

The next few months are fraught with peril for those who, like me, spell by instinct. I don’t know if I will ever get DEUTSCHE BANK right or MUELLER or NEWSOME.

Finally, Mueller is done and the controversy is just beginning. The Washington Post summary is HERE. Don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted.

  1. Democracy Now presented a debate by Glen Greenwald and David Cay Johnston today. If missed on KHSU, it is on KMUD at Noon today.

As to Restoration Hardware, I remember their FIRST Old Town location where the Irish Shop is now. Steve Gordon was the founder.
