The May 2017 Humboldt Economic Index is IN
I’ve been wondering why we keep hearing about these ginormous land sales in Humboldt, supposedly because of the weed biz, but local real estate has been really flat. Till now! The index shows an increase of $5K for the average house price, since March. ‘Bout time! The Index also indicates that gas has been going up just as you thought.

The April 2017 Economic Index is IN
Dr Eschker’s hardworking crew has published their April update. They show retail sales down and home sales up, as you would expect as we head into summer. Gas prices in Eureka edged up, from $3.06 to $3.11.

February 2017 Economic Index Is IN
Dr Eschker and his hardworking crew have published the Economic Index for February. Hospitality is up, home sales and retail are down slightly. The average home sale is now $296,500.
