That is interesting looks both months flat to me.
Any thoughts on why retail sales are down?
May is kind of a transitional month. College kids don’t buy anything because they’re thinking of moving and the tourists aren’t here yet.
But the report was for April. And how about those who are not in college or who are tourists? It would be interesting to know how sales were when student and tourist dollars were subtracted from the report. Your thoughts?
Sorry , I meant April. I checked last April and it was flat for retail also.
Any thoughts or ideas why both months were flat?
Only what I posited , which is that people getting ready to move don’t buy stuff and the tourists are more plentiful in June-Sept.
