I’M PISSED OFF about a number of things.  I’m pissed off that my fellow Humboldters are  so dense they’re  lettng the McKinley Statue be schlepped off to Ohio.  I’m pissed off that the NCRA is being dismantled, and with it any chance of restoring the only railroad that makes any sense, the Eel River Valley route. And I’m pissed off that the rest of Trump’s term will be as grotesque as the first part. Did you see Michael Cohen’s testimony? The part where he said, I used to cover up for him just like you’re doing now?  He reminded me of that famous clip where Ozzie Osbourne is telling one of his kids-  Jack, I presume- “Don’t be like me! Don’t do drugs!  Look at what they did to me!”.  A lot of people are going to be ashamed of their conduct during these times. I’m glad I live in Humboldt where I don’t  run into them. 

THE REST OF THE HERD- I’ve lost track of all the Democrats running for President. There’s Bloomberg- not sure what he brings. He’s as old as Bernie and lacks a winning personality. Mr Castro from Texas is interesting. Pete the gay mayor of South Bend whose last name I can’t spell or pronounce is in, as is Kamala, who’s had an excellent start. Warren has made too many missteps; the Native American thing was a mistake. Howard Schultz is a joke. Tulsi Gabbard is a joke. And on and on…..

While we’re talking Eureka businesses, let me give an overdue shoutout to Babe’s Pizza. I was heartbroken when Big Louie’s closed but I have since become reconciled and I have to say that the service AND food available from Babe’s cant be beat. I ordered some pizzas to be delivered to the new Democratic HQ and they showed up right on time, just as they do every time. Check out this local business right HERE.

I heard somewhere that Walmart is discontinuing its practice of hiring people with disabilities as greeters. Were they doing this locally? I’ve never been in this Walmart. Don’t plan to go. If they lay off their greeters don’t shop there any more. You can get along without Walmart.
