— JARED KUSHNER was a leader in discussions during the shutdown of late 2018 and 2019, which resulted in a whopping zero new dollars for the border wall. Dawsey and Miroff methodically lay out a case in this story that Kushner has no idea what he’s doing, and most of the people around him seem to recognize that. After seeing the success of the earlier wall discussions and the Middle East peace plan, how can the president resist giving Kushner even more responsibility?
