So here’s what Trump REALLY thinks about journalists: They should be executed! From the Wapo: “Per WaPo reporter Josh Dawsey’s summary of the book’s highlights/lowlights, Bolton “describes a summer 2019 meeting in New Jersey where Trump says journalists should be jailed so they have to divulge their sources: ‘These people should be executed. They are scumbags,’ Trump said, according to Bolton’s account.”

Also from the WAPO:

“– TRUMP seemingly thought it was OK for China to build concentration camps to house 1 million Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang, and told that to XI. He also told the Chinese leader that Americans want to change the Constitution to have him serve more than two terms. — TRUMP was unsure if Finland was part of Russia (it is not). He also did not know that the United Kingdom was a nuclear power (it is). And ALSO: — TRUMP signaled to Turkish President RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN that he would intervene in a case against a Turkish firm once the DOJ’s Southern District of New York was filled with his allies. Brett McGurk said Erdoğan tried that with Joe Biden and Biden said no.“

AND here’s another tidbit from Bolton’s book:

p. 244: NICK AYERS, in the running to succeed KELLY as chief of staff, worked directly for TRUMP for two days “as an experiment” to see if he could stomach the job. He decided he could not.

AND HERE’S ARNIE weighing in on VBM: @Schwarzengger: “This is 100% the right move. This will help us beat this terrible virus. The science is unanimous – if we all wear masks, we slow down the spread and can reopen safely. It’s not a political issue. Anyone making it a political issue is an absolute moron who can’t read.” Yes!

AND HERE’S OUR LOCAL ANGLE: Rex Bohn wanted to deliver the relief checks for some of his buddies’ businesses in person rather than use that nasty old mail system. He’s had poor judgement before but this one is a doozy. Who does he think he is, Trump? Will he want his name printed on the checks next? Bet if the election were held today, ol’ Rex would be in trouble.
