Like a lot of people, I have an empty feeling inside this morning.  Like a lot of people, I had no idea he was ill.  He was a class act, to the end. He left in privacy, not in public like a Kardashian. Ironically, the song that keeps running through my head is not “Fame” or “Let’s Dance” but James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain”.  “I always thought that I’d see you ..one more time again”.

When Bowie was doing  The Elephant Man in Denver, I knew a couple who made the round-trip drive from LA four times to see him.  I should have gone with them.
